Billing software without GST
Most billing software is GST software with a switch to hide the tax. FastBilling has no GST in it to hide.
Why that matters at the counter
If you do not charge GST, a GST billing app makes you work around it on every bill. There are tax fields on every item, HSN codes it keeps asking for, tax totals on the print that read zero, and reports built around returns you do not file.
FastBilling was never built for tax, so none of that is there. A bill is the party, the items, the rates and the total.
What a FastBilling bill has on it
- Your shop’s name, address and contact details.
- The party’s name — or the name of a walk-in customer who has no account.
- A bill number that counts up on its own, and the date.
- Each item with its quantity, unit, rate and amount.
- The total, any payment already made, and the balance due.
- If you want it, a UPI QR for the amount due.
More than a bill maker
- Every bill is saved against the party, so what is unpaid carries forward.
- Balances are in plain words: to receive, or to pay.
- Purchases, receipts and payments go through the same screen.
- A day book for what happened today, and reports for sales, purchases and what is outstanding.
- Prints on A4 or a thermal roll, and can be sent as a link.
- Works on a computer with the keyboard, and on a phone as an installed app.
Who should not use it
If you issue GST invoices, FastBilling cannot make them, and it does not produce anything for a GST return. It also has no stock, no barcodes and no payroll. It is the right tool only if a plain bill is what you give your customers.
Whether your business needs to register for GST is a question for your accountant. Nothing on this page is tax advice.
Just need one bill, now?
The free bill maker on this site makes a single bill without GST that you can print or save as a PDF, with no sign-up. It does not remember your customers or their balances; FastBilling does.
What it costs
₹99 a month for party accounts, ₹199 with itemised billing and printing, ₹499 with orders. The first 30 days are free and need no card.
Try it with your own parties
Thirty days free, no card. Add two or three parties and enter yesterday’s bills; that is enough to see whether it fits your counter.
