Day Book and reports
What happened today, and how the business is doing.
Steps
- Open Day Book. It shows today's bills, and the money received and paid.
- Use the arrows beside the date for other days, or Today to come back.
- Press a bill to open that bill. Press a receipt or payment to open that receipt or payment; the bill number beside it opens the bill.
- Press Hide figures when the screen can be seen by others.
- Open Sales, Purchases, Cash or Profit & Loss from the menu for a date range.
- Sales and Purchases show the total for the dates you chose, a count, and a chart of the last twelve months. Choose a party to see the total for that party alone.
Good to know
- Only closed bills count in reports. An open bill is still being written.
- Profit is estimated from the purchase rate recorded at the time of each sale. Where no purchase rate was known, profit is shown as unavailable instead of being guessed.
- Top selling ranks products by how many bills they appear on.
- An employee sees only the bills they created or closed.
- Sales and Purchases no longer list each bill or item. To find a bill, use the Day Book or the Party Statement.
- On the phone a bill in the Day Book shows the party's name first, with the bill number and its status under it.
